I shall be going to China to source a variety of european style hotel furniture. What are the questions or issues that need to be addressed for me as an importer of bulk quantities on a regular basis when dealing with hotel furniture manufacturers? Can a check list be provided for the same?Thanks.

checking the quality is the first thing you need to do. ask how long it will take them to fill up a container for you depending on the size of your order. i’m not trying to discourage you but just be careful for china’s quality is not very good. it’s cheap because they sacrifice the quality and durability of the goods. you can formulate more questions once your there. good luck!

some factory provide good quality goods in China.if you can find out them it will be good.
I know a factory that making home & hotel furniture and decoration.using natural material.like wood,rattan,bamboo,etc.all handmade.Factory name is Hailong craft in guangxi province.I dont remember the exact address.it’s in my hometown.but it’s just a few minutes to go from my house.
The things you need to pay attendtion to are:
1 what kind of hotel furniture you are looking for?because different kinds of factory specialized in different furnitures.Before visiting,you can find out some factory that you interest and visit when you come.
2 If you have sample you can show to the factory ask them to make for you.
3 About the quality.You can not expect the factory do inspection for you.You probably need an chinese export agent to help you on communicating with the factory and before the goods delivery your export agent will help you to give quality inspection to the goods ,assure that you will receive all the goods in good condiction.Many factories dont have people speak english,so you need a translater to help or your export agent will help.
4 still quality: when you place an order,you need them to make you each item a sample for you to keep with you or with your agent.After finishing production,you can check the goods if they are in accordance with your confirm sample .You need a man to go to the factory to give inspeciton before they delivery the goods to your warehouse or to the port.Because if they send to your warehouse,when you find anything wrong during inspection,it’s hard for factory to modify.If the goods still in the factory it’s easier to modify and save time too.
5 most of the factories have their sample rooms you can go to their sample room to see their history sample and new samples.
6 I’m not sure which kind of hotel furniture you are looking for.The city i’m staying have a large wholesale market for different items.i’m sure you can find things that you want here.

7 i dont know if you want to buy bulk from one sigle factory or prefer buying from different factories for different items and gather all the goods into a container?Then you need to decide a place that you want all the goods gather together into a container.
