The Guangzhou Park Hyatt Hotel is to be bulit in the new pearl river city in Guangzhou. Billed at USD 150 million, the 66-story, 1,000 foot tall property will feature staggered vertical strips on its facade that will stretch and compress like tendons, say designers, in response to the function of each floor. It is planned to be finished sometime in 2010.
Pullman Shanghai Hotel, (5 star 52 story highest hotel in Asia) in Shanghai cost USD$235 million
Therefore you can make a good guess that a 5 star hotel to be built in Guangzhou will cost from 100-200 million USD

In 2008, I remember seeing the high end apartment price in Guangzhou are around 10,000 Yuan per sq. meter. Assume an average 2BR apartment size is 100 sq. meter and equals to 3 holel rooms. If you built a 150 rooms hotel could be similar to 50 apartments. (Assume the profit of the apartment builder become the price you paid for the Interior of the holel.)
My rough estimate is…
A 150 room hotel will cost about 10,000 x 100 x 50 = 50,000,000 Yuan or around USD$7,350,000 (at 1USD = 6.8 yuan)
