Is it very tiring for most people and difficult to finish hiking up the great wall of china?
Do people normally give up after 3-4 hours?
There are so many different parts to the Great Wall. It’s not one continuous wall, it’s actually divided up into different sections over several provinces. And plus a lot of it has fallen apart into ruins, so you can’t walk the whole thing in its totality.
If you want to just walk the "reconstructed" areas of the Great Wall, I’d say it would take you several weeks, depending on the weather and how fast you want to walk.

My friend wants to know if you can walk the entire length of the great wall of china.
The Great Wall of China is the world’s longest man-made structure – and consists of a series of walls. It stretches over a formidable 6,352 km (3,948 miles), from Shanhai Pass on the Bohai Sea in the east, to Lop Nur in the southeastern portion of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Along most of its arc, it roughly delineates the border between North China and Inner Mongolia.
If your friend has the time, energy, and money [most important !], to indulge in this whim, he/she could hopefully walk its entire length in around 330 days – if he/she manages to cover at least 12 miles [19.3 km] each day.
